Our adventurous family weekend

HI, I`m here again! This time you can read about our annual family weekend which turned out to be quite special this year. :-)
Mummy collected lots of pictures and thought about the story for a while. So... lean back in your comfortable chair, get something to drink and enjoy the `tale`! It`ll be looong...

Every year my Oma takes us on a holiday; 2 years ago I travelled to Portugal in Mummy`s tommy, last year we drove to Lake Bled and Bohinj in Slovenia and this year the plan was to visit Bratislava (Pozsony) and Sopron in Hungary.
Well, we couldn`t enjoy the Slovakian capital. But let`s start at the beginning. Uncle Peter and Oma Beppie flew to Hungary on 3rd June. Mummy collected them at the airport in the evening as a nice surprise. They thought they would have to take the train to Dunafoldvár. That evening Daddy was in Ráckeve in a wellness hotel having his team-building day. The first inconvenient thing was that Peter`s suitcase didn`t arrive. It came 2 days later. Anyway, Mummy drove home... I was already sleeping. I was with my baby-sitter that evening.
As Peter had his birthday on 2nd June, Mummy made a delicious strawberry cake for him. He liked it a lot!

On Friday morning I met Oma who bought me some nice clothes again. The T-shirt I`m wearing in the photo was also from her. I got a pair of gloves for weeding in the garden, too. Look! Aren`t they special? Uncle Peter helped me to put them on.

While we were playing, Mummy got a fantastic message from Daddy.`Hi Poepie! I have a problem. This morning I woke up in the hospital. I slipped in the sauna area and bumped my head... I don`t even know in which city I am now... My colleague will call you soon.` So after lunch Peter and Mummy drove to Budapest to visit Daddy and find out what had happened to him. `Apa, Apa!!!`, I repeated all the time.

So Daddy was taken to hospital at 2 am by the ambulance. He was injured on his right forehead and got 4 pretty stitches there. He had to stay in hospital for at least 48 hours as he also had a concussion, so our hotel reservation in Bratislava for 2 nights had to be cancelled.

While Peter and Mummy were in the hospital, I had a nice time with Oma.

On Saturday evening we could collect Peter`s luggage, so I was given the rest of my presents: books and puzzles. Thank you again! I love playing with them!

On Sunday morning Peter greeted me.

After the usual morning routine Mummy drove to the hospital to get my Daddy home. I was extremely curious of his new look. :-)

He could still enjoy the delicious hospital lunch, then we got the final report and drove home.

It was a very ugly hospital! Even Mummy was shocked.
Anyway, I was happy to see Daddy after 3 days. Look! Here is the scar. (The stitches were removed a week later in Paks in a much nicer hospital.)

Daddy told me what had happened to his head, then I showed him the 2 hats which he had to wear to protect his wound.

In the afternoon we visited Akasztó, a nice spot for the wedding next summer (3oth July). We wanted to show it to Oma and Peter. Here are some pictures; the others are put on the Kismuppie Webalbum.

On Monday morning we decided not to cancel the hotel in Sopron, so we tarvelled there for a day. Unfortunately it turned out that the whole city was under construction, so a day was enough of it. Here are some nice photos.

..................................................................................................................................................................

The main square, the theatre, ... road-buildings everywhere. They will finish it by the end of August.
Till then Sopron is not the nicest place to visit.

I enjoyed walking a lot!!! It was fun to chase the pidgeons and the cat. :-)

In the evening I ate a nice bowl of soup in the restaurant of the hotel, then I had a shower and went to bed. The babyphone was left at the reception, so the adults could go and have dinner in a restaurant close to the hotel.

On Tuesday morning we checked out after breakfast and took Peter to the airport. His plane was delayed till the evening.

On the way home we stopped in Rácalmás to check the place and have lunch, too. It was already extremely warm, so we didn`t stay for a long time.

So actually that was our adventurous family weekend. Anyway, it was nice to be together, but I was happy to get home. Oma stayed at us till the 18th June.

Now that we are at home, Mummy pays even more attention to me after Daddy`s accident. In the pictures you can see how much I like climbing up everywhere (beds, armchair, toy-box), moreover, I would even stand up in the trolley if Mummy let me do that. She can be extremely worried that I might hurt myself.

She doesn`t want me to have an ugly scar on my lovely cheeks or forehead... So I`m also careful when I turn a somersault, sit on the high piano chair, dance or stand up in the bathtub. Anyway, I do these acrobatic movements when she is next to me.

Daddy`s forehead is getting better; if he`s standing like this, the scar is invisible. I think Mummy`s bothered with it much more than Daddy is. When he travelled to the same wellness hotel 2 weeks later (17-18th June), Mummy told him that she didn`t want to have a symmetry on his forehead. :-) Luckily he came home without any scratches. Look! This is his scar nowadays. Well, it`s not the nicest, but he is still the most adorable and handsome Daddy-bear for me. :-)

Well, this is the end of the family weekend story. I hope You enjoyed it.

Have a nice day/evening! See you soon! Bye-bye!
ps. Dear Jos! Happy birthday to You!!! Gefeliciteerd! We hope You had a nice party. :-)
