Visiting the Tropicarium in Budapest

Hi, :-) How are You? Fine? Me, too. Are you curious what has happened to me recently? Probably yes, otherwise you wouldn`t be checking my blog right now... ;-)

Well, first of all let me give you some updates about my development. I`m 87cm tall and 12.5 kilos. I have looooong curly hair. I talk a lot; I`m like a little parrot repeating everything in 3 languages. That`s all about me right now.

This time you can read a story about my visit to the Tropicarium last Saturday. Actually my brothers had their autumn holiday last week which they spent at us. It was nice having them around for almost a week.

We played a lot as it can be seen in the photos below.

Oh, I like them very much!!!

And I think they also enjoy being with me... They like my cute face, my naughty look, my lovely smile, the way I talk, ... They always say that it`s so nice to have a little sister like me. :-)

So during the week we spent quite some time together. On Saturday we drove to Budapest as Mummy made an appointment at the wedding saloon where she found a nice dress a week ago. Her romantic ivory dream dress is not in the picture, of course. :-) It`ll be a surprise!!! After having lunch in the West End shopping centre we visited the Tropicarium. (http://www.tropicarium.hu/)

Look! These pictures were taken at the entrance. Are you in the mood to join us???

The 1st room presented fish species of the Hungarian fauna, such as carp, pike-perch, catfish, sterlet, etc. It was interesting to watch them swimming peacefully in the fish-tanks.

We also saw giant turtles, exotic, colourful birds and various reptiles. Look! Here`s an elegantly moving snake.

I have never seen such a long and beautiful snake in real life.

After checking the reptiles we walked through the `tropical rainforest`. Here I could see the alligator, hear the birds` singing and admire the squirrel monkeys jumping from branch to branch easily.

Then we were in a room full of spiders, snails, frogs, scorpions and ... guinea pigs. Oh, I loved them!!! Mummy told me that when she was young(er), she had 8 guinea pigs; also Roli and Krisz had these cute animals 4 years ago. I wanted to stroke them, but they were afraid of me, I think. By the way, they were nicely separated: girls and boys. :-)

I could also check lizards, gekkos, chameleons, leguans and the cute silk monkeys.

Actually Mummy was already here in the Tropicarium 9 or 10 years ago with Roli and Krisz. It didn`t change too much.
Moving on I saw the famous piranhas... They were staring at me, but I wasn`t afraid at all!

Before getting to the shark aquarium I watched some freshwater fish species.
Then... we walked through the
11-meter-long observation tunnel where frightening looking sharks were swimming close to me.

Look at these pictures! (Well, the quality is quite poor as it was strictly forbidden to use flash.)

Mummy`s favourite was this cute ray.

This 4-meter-deep aquarium offered a breathtaking sight.

I could also see plenty of colourful sea fish of interesting shapes. `We could have a nice fish tank at home!`, I thought. Oh, I have nearly forgotten about the ray stroking pool.

At the end of the 1.5 hour tour I checked the souvenir shop; I selected something for myself, but I was unable to convince Daddy to buy it for me. :-( Maybe he wasn`t in a shopping mood?!

Anyway, on the way home my brothers were taken to Velence first; then Daddy drove to Dunafoldvár. Apparently I hadn`t had enough of the animals during the day as I wanted to check them again in my book at home.

It was a nice day, I liked it a lot!!! I got very tired by the evening as I slept only 20 minutes in the car.
OK. That`s it for now. See you soon! Bye-bye!
p.s. I`ll have my first flying experience on Friday!!! We`re going to fly to Brussels, then Uncle Peter will collect us and take us to Oma Beppie to Holland. I`m really looking forward to flying and also seeing the Dutch family members! :-)
